The center for the revival of Arab scientific heritage has organized lately a civil defense event, in the presence of the director of the department of media and public relations at the presidency of the University of Baghdad, Assist. Prof. Dr. Adel Abdul Razzaq, in coordination with the members of the Civil Defense Division. The aim of the event is to train individuals on how to extinguish fires and how to deal with quickly as soon as possible and what are the procedures that must be applied to ensure protection and assistance in the face of any disasters, God forbid.
It is noteworthy that the civil defense unit has also developed several specialized teams in the field of fire handling as well as a research team, to train workers and meet all the requirements in this regard, including an explanation on the launch of sirens as well as opening of emergency doors. Other training dealt with the rules and security procedures applied in the field of rescue or prevention of major industrial and technological hazards, the fight against forest fires or others taking place in agricultural fields, in addition to domestic and road accidents.
