The college of veterinary medicine at the University of Baghdad has recently participated in the proceedings of the 5th Student Conference (also the second virtual one) for Graduate Research of the fifth grade students where it won the first place out of twelve papers that have been submitted in this event by twelve faculties of veterinary medicine in Iraq for the academic year (2020-2021). This virtual conference was broadcasted via Zoom platform and organized by the Quality Improvement of Graduate Research Council at the ministry of higher education and scientific research.
The conference, which was sponsored by the Committee of Deans of Veterinary Medicine Faculties, aimed to evaluate the graduate researches submitted by students annually, where the first top research was presented by the students: Hadeer Abdul Mutalib Hamza and Mina Ismail Ibrahim, under direct supervision of the Assist. Prof. Dr. Mawlood Abbas Ali and the lecturer Dr. Sarhad Saad al-Najjar. At the conclusion of this event, the President of the council, Prof. Dr. Abdul Bari Abbas and the Vice-President of the council praised the concerted efforts made by our distinguished students and their supervisors under the current difficult circumstances due to the Covid-19 pandemic to the success of the second virtual student conference.
