The Journal of Baghdad College of Dentistry (JBCD) is listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), which is a website that hosts a community-curated list of open access journals founded in 2012 in the UK. This is a major step to obtain the recognition of the larger repositories in the future, that is preceded by the acquisition of DOI from the Digital Object Identifier System that provides a technical and social infrastructure for the registration and use of persistent interoperable identifiers for each research issued by this journal according to the Crossref Digital Object Identifier Registration Agency.
