Prof. Dr. Ammar Taher, dean of the college of media at the University of Baghdad has lately received the national security advisor for strategic affairs at the National Security Advisory Mr. Saeed al-Jayashi to discuss the development of joint action programs for postgraduate studies and training for the academic year (2021-2022) within a number of agreements concluded between the ministry of higher education and scientific research and the University of Baghdad on one hand and the national security advisory council on the other. During the last academic year, the college of media hosted a vocational diploma program dedicated for the staff of media offices at various Iraqi ministries and institutions under the supervision of the National Security Advisory.

For his part, Dr. Ammar Taher confirmed that the college of media is committed to the policies and directives of the ministry of higher education to open up prospects of coordination with state institutions and the community to provide different educational services towards making a tangible development at the scientific, technical and cultural levels. Also Mr. Saeed al-Jayashi stated that the National Security Advisory is now supervising on 26 master’s programs spread over 21 colleges from 11 universities in the country, with the inauguration of 14 new academic disciplines in strategic fields that would enhance scientific skills and provide a suitable atmosphere for vocational development, in addition to 355 postgraduate seats in different disciplines.
