The department of public relations at the college of media has inaugurated the sessions of its new project conducted under the slogan “Propose and Pledge” for its graduate students to discuss a number of community initiatives. The first student conference held in this quest included a speech delivered by the assistant dean for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali al-Shammari, who stated that the “Propose Project” is dedicated for the master’s students while the “Pledge Project” is dedicated for the doctoral students for the sake of making social initiatives that serve the community.
The head of the department of public relations, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammed al-Ameri, also said that these projects are directed towards addressing various crises suffered by Iraqi people so as to encourage individuals to perform virtuous behaviors and develop their diverse skills. Then the participants discussed all details related to an electronic form that will be distributed online across different social media that asks people about many topics of local concern such as (traffic jam, poverty, unemployment, population density, epidemics) through which the public can contribute in submitting solutions to these crises.
