Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad has resumed his usual visits to follow-up the conduct of final examinations at Al-Khwarizmi college of engineering, accompanied by the dean of the college, Assist. Prof. Dr. Maher Yahya Salloum, who confirmed commitment to the preventive measures instructed by the directives of the ministry of higher education and scientific research.
During his tour, the rector met a number of students who were satisfied with the services provided to them in terms of room air conditioners, sterile water bottles, medical gloves and masks, as well as health care and social distancing. The students stressed the parental and humanitarian role of their professors and heads of the departments as they took into account the critical circumstances facing the country. Dr. Abdul kareem Al-Sammarraie, the assistant rector for scientific affairs has previously conducted an inspection tour of the medical colleges at Bab al-Muatham Complex to supervise the final examinations conducted there and to follow-up the scientific and preventive mechanisms taken by those concerned in coordination with the instructions of the crisis cell and the parliamentary health committee. It is noteworthy that the presidency of the University of Baghdad has agreed with the directorates of electricity to equip all university’s faculties with electricity power and to exclude them from the scheduled electrical power autage, but at the same time, it stressed and recommended the need to rationalize the use of electricity for the common good.
