The University of Baghdad, under the direct supervision of the faculty member of the college of engineering Prof. Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan and a number of students at the department of petroleum engineering, has surpassed the American University in Cairo during the PETROBOWL competition sponsored and organized by the International Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
It is noteworthy that our university was selected among the top 8 universities of the Middle East and Africa with the participation of more than 50 universities, 32 of which were selected for their prestigious academic reputation to compete globally. For his part, Dr. Omar Faleh announced that this scientific breakthrough was attained by the sincere efforts exerted by the faculty and students of the department of petroleum engineering in commitment to a scientific plan of the University of Baghdad SPE Student Chapter adopted by its distinguished students since last year to participate in international competitions.
