The department of journalism at the college of media held recently a scientific symposium to discuss the problems faced by researchers when using the Arabic language on internet via Google Meet service. This event witnessed the participation of a number of postgraduate students who presented their research papers in this regard, including the loss of Arabic between translation and transliteration, as well as the linguistic pollution or degeneration noticed when using the Arabic language and dialects on websites. The participants stressed the importance of using Arabic in a proper way due to the rapid development in the uses of social media sites, as well as stressing the significance of proper translation, vocabulary and spelling.
