The presidency of the University of Baghdad received with great regret and sadness the news of the departure of the prominent academic, scientific and artistic Profe. Dr. Balasim Mohammed Jassam, so the university represented by its rector Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, offers its most sincere condolences for the passing away of this national artistic and scientific figure. His departure represents a major loss in the career of higher education for the University of Baghdad and for the Iraqi artistic career. He was an example of the good professor overflowing with knowledge and ethics during his academic march, with many distinguished achievements in the fields of art, culture and aesthetics. The University of Baghdad extends its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, his loved ones, his students and his fellows at the college of fine arts, praying to give them patience. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
