The department of computer science in collaboration with Ibn Sina e-learning and continuing education units at the college of science organized a virtual lecture entitled “Motion planning for self-driving cars using artificial intelligence” via Google Meet service with the participation of a number of students, professors and those interested in electronic applications.

The lectures were presented by Prof. Dr. Baraa Ali Attia and Assist. Prof. Dr. Rawaa Dawood Hassan with the aim to introduce the techniques used in autonomous vehicles based on the latest academic and industrial research due to its multifaceted advantages, including improving safety, reducing traffic jams, gas emissions and flexibility of mobility. The two lecturers then reviewed the algorithms and software used in building various projects of artificial intelligence such as TensorFlow & Unity plugins.
