The Joint Diseases Unit, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the college of veterinary medicine held an online symposium on “Identifying mycobacteria tuberculosis species, their harms and how to get rid of” via  Google Classroom web service.

The aim of this event is to shed light on mycobacterium tuberculosis species and effects on humans and animals. The professors discussed matters related to infections caused by human, bovine and bird tuberculosis germs, synthetic qualities of nontuberculous mycobacteria which increases their resistance to steriles and to different circumstances as well as its composition of biomembrane.

On the other hand, the lecturers talked about the most important diseases caused by these germs such as pulmonary infections, lymphadenitis, ear infections, soft tissue & skin infections, catheter infections and other widespread sheep and cow infections such as mastitis, soft tissue and skin injuries, AIDS and inhalation injuries.
