Al-Kindy college of medicine at the University of Baghdad held an extensive lecture on the occasion of the International Day against Violence against Women delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Taghreed Khalil Mohammed Ali, a member of the International Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology Committee.

The participants discussed various topics including women’s rights and the women suffering in the developing world in light of the growing asylum campaigns globally, referring to types of violence against women, such as the physical, verbal and psychological and sexual violence, in addition to the economic violence that may involve psychological, social or health motives.
