Prof. Raad Zeid Alwan from the college of administration and economics at the University of Baghdad has participated lately in the proceedings of the first international scientific conference on pure and human studies organized by the University of Al-Hamdaniya with a research paper entitled “The role of knowledge management processes in achieving tax excellence”.

The aim of this research is to highlight the procedure used for achieving tax excellence at the General Tax Authority as a service provider which offers many services to taxpayers and companies, so the more the Authority can adopt new concepts to increase its understanding and knowledge of how much the taxpayers are interested in acquiring, organizing and transferring Knowledge to provide a suitable working environment to attract new recruits and building long-term relationships, the more this attitude would reflect on performance and tax excellence. In the process of analyzing of the study variables, the researcher depended on a questionnaire as a key tool for collecting data and information in this regard.

The study reached at a number of findings and recommendations, namely the need for adoption of an effective program to know the problems of students and society alike as well as the need to take the students’ expectations and aspirations into consideration when providing services or setting standards when providing the educational services in accordance with their previous expectations.
