The Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Imad Hussein Mirza Al-Husseini received a number of guests headed by the Director General of the Research and Development Department at the ministry of higher education and scientific research, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hameed Abdul Majeed and Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Iraqi Scientific Complex, Prof. Dr. Jawad Mutar Al-Mussawi as well as a number of deans of colleges, institutes and research centers.
The visiting professors congratulated Dr. Imad Hussein Al-Husseini for ascending his new position as rector of the University of Baghdad wishing him to improve its scientific, academic and professional reality in the service of our professors, employees, students and community.
For his part, the rector praised the scientific role played by the university’s formations that has resulted into its recent entry in international rankings such as Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE) and Scopus.
It is noteworthy that Prof. Dr. Emad Hussein Mirza Al Husseini has held various positions as head of the Iraqi Computer and Informatics Commission of the ministry of higher education and scientific research and Rector of the University of Technology as well as other positions.
