The Market and Consumer Protection Research Center at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific symposium entitled (The effects of industrial and commercial fraud on the Iraqi market and consumer) in cooperation with the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control.

The lecturers addressed matters related to the effects of industrial and commercial fraud on goods and products offered in the local market acquired by the Iraqi consumers and the damage caused by in economic and health areas along with their consequences on the consumer’s budget. All these matters are reflected on the Iraqi individual’s legitimate rights approved by the United Nations in 1985, thereby weakening his role in building society.
