Assist. Prof. Dr. Inas Sobhi, a lecturer from the department of English language at the college of education for women has participated recently in the 1st international scientific conference on English language and culture held and sponsored by Koya University in Erbil.

The researcher presented a research paper entitled “A new logic of victory in Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games” in which she introduced a new concept of victory in this novel via the restoration of permanent harmony between all moral values in comparison to “The Lord of the Flies” by William Golding, in which Ralph, Peggy and Simon embody the enduring moral values and hope to save principles and laws in a time of conflict and chaos where Golding depicted the evolution of characters in a life full of intellectual and spiritual crises.
