The college of engineering at the University of Baghdad witnessed the attendance of His Excellency the minister of higher education and scientific research, Prof. Dr. Qusai al-Suhail at a master’s discussion of the researcher Zainab Ali Abdul Wahid Mandool from the department of architectural engineering for her thesis entitled “Planning and designing fundamentals of hematology and oncology hospitals in Iraq”.
The researcher aimed to study the environmental and social variables affecting the oncology hospitals, including the external environment and its implications on the building and work of the therapeutic departments as well as the effects of radiation on our environment. Also she addressed several psychological factors affecting cancer patients and their family members during treatment.
