Baghdad University Council receives Dr. Nasser Rahif
After the Council of Baghdad University mobilizes all its good efforts in an emergency session, especially for Assistant Professor Dr. Nasser Rahif Associate Dean of the Faculty of Education,Ibn Rushd after suffering a brutal assault, Dr. Rahif was released immediately and that was the result recommended by the Council in its special session in approaching the Ministry of HigherEducation and the prime minister urgently, to rescue Dr. Rahif of false accusations and malicious orchestrated by one of his abusers, where the prime minister Mr. Nuri al-Maliki responded to the appeal of the Council, and ordered to form a committee of inquiry for immediate release of Dr. Rahif and punish abusers and all who participated in the assault. Thank God he was acquitted immediately after setting the aggressors when they exceed a professor of Baghdad University in one of the places in Baghdad. After the release of Dr. Rahif the University Councilprovides congratulations and blessings for his safety through majestic reception initiated by the university president, Dr. Musa al-Musawi who makes sure of the stability of his condition and health, and offers more services and capabilities of the university for his safety, calling on the Almighty God to preserve the safety of all professors and the staff of Baghdad University. Dr. Riyadh Aziz Hadi, Assistant Scientific University President also met Dr. Rahif and assured his safety, providing all the possibilities of the university and its services for the safety and health of Dr. Rahif, and, stating
that conduct all medical examinations of Dr. Rahif in university hospitals clinics, and laboratories. Dr. Rahif thanked Dr. Riad’s attention to this, and told him that he recovered praise be to God, and that his health is good, and psychological well-placed. Dr. Musa al-Musawi stated to the
university website that he put the safety of Professors as one of the priorities of the university work to provide a scientific and rational climate, and it is in direct contact and follow-up of all Professors and all the possibilities and services operating in favor of them at the university, the university has scientific specialized departments in followig-up the circumstances and conditions
of professors, and these departments contact and coordinating with security agencies to ensurethe safety of professors. Dr. Rahif has thanked each of the President and members of the University Council, to have shown continuous and direct interest and follow up of his state, and extended thanks to Mr. Prime Minister Mr. Nouri Al-Maliki, who had an active role and directly punish the aggressors
and secure the release of Dr. Rahif ,Furthermore he thanked Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Ali al-Adeeb. Dr. Rahif is known of his integrity, dedication and devotion to work inEducation. He also thanked all the lecturers who denounced the case, and also thanked the security agencies that dealt with a university professor with courtesy and a very high attention and sympathy.
