In its eighteenth session for the 2025–2026 academic year, the University of Baghdad Council, chaired by President Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Al-Zughaybi, reviewed the outcomes of his recent meeting with Minister of Finance Mr. Faleh Sari. Dr. Al-Zughaybi praised the Ministry’s understanding and commitment to supporting key files that strengthen the university’s stability and empower it to fulfill its academic, scientific, and service missions.
Opening the session, the President expressed gratitude to all university formations for their distinguished efforts throughout the academic year, particularly in successfully managing final examinations and ensuring a conducive environment for their smooth conduct.
Dr. Al-Zughaybi underscored the importance of maintaining teamwork to safeguard institutional performance and enhance the university’s academic standing. He noted that the university continues to pursue several strategic files in coordination with relevant government bodies to expand its capabilities and support future plans.
The Council also discussed a range of academic, administrative, and financial matters on its agenda, adopting decisions and recommendations aligned with the university’s vision of advancing performance quality and achieving its goals in education, research, and community service.
Concluding the session, the President emphasized the need to keep developing the university’s work environment and to optimize resource utilization, ensuring readiness for upcoming challenges and supporting the implementation of strategic programs and projects.
