The President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Al-Zughaybi, conducted an inspection tour at the College of Veterinary Medicine in the Abu Ghraib complex to observe firsthand the academic and research performance and to follow up on the progress of the students’ final examinations. This visit reflects the University Presidency’s commitment to strengthening the educational environment and ensuring the smooth conduct of examinations in accordance with established academic standards.
During his tour, the University President emphasized the importance of providing appropriate conditions for students and enhancing the level of academic and research performance in line with the university’s vision of supporting the quality of higher education and improving its outcomes.
In the context of supporting scientific research, Dr. Al-Zughaybi directed the establishment of five specialized research units focused on contemporary scientific topics that keep pace with modern developments. He also stressed the need to provide appropriate incentives for researchers, thereby contributing to strengthening scientific output and elevating the level of academic publication for both the college and the university.
This initiative contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
