Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Atiya, President of the University of Baghdad, extended his highest congratulations to the university’s sports teams on the occasion of their honorable achievement in the Universities Championship, which witnessed the participation of sixty-five Iraqi universities.
The President commended the outstanding performance of the athletes, which culminated in the university teams securing first place in the women’s competitions and second place in the men’s competitions. This accomplishment reflects a spirit of determination, excellence, and commitment.
Dr. Atiya emphasized that this success was the result of the combined efforts of the athletes and the coaching staff, as well as the support and care provided by the organizers of the championship. He noted that such achievements further strengthen the University of Baghdad’s standing in university sports forums.
