The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hah Lu Al-Askari, reaffirmed his continuous support for the University of Baghdad, commending its pioneering role and distinguished academic standing both locally and internationally. This statement was made during a meeting of the University of Baghdad Council, attended by all council members.
Dr. Al-Askari highlighted the university’s prominent role in graduating generations of scholars and intellectuals who have contributed to serving society and building the state. He reiterated the ministry’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at enhancing academic and research performance, thereby strengthening the university’s presence in global rankings and elevating the quality of its scientific output.
In this context, the Minister directed the appointment of Dr. Raghad Al-Hashimi, Assistant to the University President for Administrative Affairs, to manage the affairs of the University of Baghdad during the current phase, citing his academic and administrative expertise. He emphasized the importance of continuing to work in a spirit of teamwork to ensure institutional continuity and to achieve the university’s objectives and aspirations.
Dr. Al-Askari concluded by expressing his confidence in the University of Baghdad’s ability to sustain its distinguished academic journey, extending his best wishes for success to all its faculty and staff in fulfilling their responsibilities.
