The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad celebrated Iraqi National Day in a distinguished academic and institutional gathering that included Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Miyali, and Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Hisham Ezzedine, along with a number of faculty members and staff.
The event was organized by the Women’s Affairs Unit under the supervision of Lecturer Dr. Rana Abdul Hussein Al-Dhahi, in cooperation with the Sports Activity Unit. The celebration embodied the spirit of belonging and pride in national identity and reflected the college’s commitment to reinforcing the values of unity and national cohesion.
The program featured a variety of segments focused on commemorating the sacrifices of Iraqis in building a free and unified homeland, and emphasized the importance of this day in promoting national values across all segments of the academic community.
This initiative is part of the College of Political Science’s ongoing efforts to contribute to the development of national awareness and to instill a culture of citizenship among its students and affiliates.
This activity supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4, which advocates for quality education, and Goal 16, which promotes peace, justice, and strong institutions.
