The College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad held an educational workshop titled “The History of the Iraqi Flag and Its Symbolism Among the Iraqi People,” presented by Assistant Lecturer Ruaa Badiwi Hamza, in celebration of Iraqi National Day.

The workshop reviewed the historical stages of the Iraqi flag’s design and the transformations in its colors and symbols, reflecting the journey of the Iraqi state and its rich cultural and civilizational diversity.

It emphasized the profound significance of the Iraqi flag as a symbol of unity, sovereignty, and authentic national identity cherished by every Iraqi citizen.

This workshop contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4, which promotes quality education, and Goal 16, which advocates for peace, justice, and strong institutions.
