The College of Dentistry, represented by fifth-year student Lana Maisri, participated in the “Essay Competition” organized by the Thai Embassy, which centered on composing an essay about life in Thailand. Lana Maisri distinguished herself by writing an exceptional essay that impressed the judging panel, earning her a prize presented by the Thai Embassy.

The award ceremony was held at the Baghdad International Hotel, with the attendance of the Thai Ambassador, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Advisor Mr. Hamed Al-Jubouri, and several members of the Thai Embassy.

The Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdulrazzaq Al-Hashemi, expressed pride in this achievement, praising the student’s academic caliber and reaffirming the college’s continued support for students to engage in international and cultural events that help develop their skills and refine their intellectual and literary capacities.

This participation is a valuable addition to the College of Dentistry’s growing list of accomplishments and a testament to the distinction of its students on international and cultural platforms. Moreover, the participation contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 17, which emphasizes partnerships for the achievement of shared objectives.
