The College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad organized a celebratory event in honor of Iraqi Engineer’s Day, attended by Professor Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, and Professor Dr. Diaa Jassim, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, along with a distinguished group of university members.
The event commenced with a speech by Professor Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, in which he praised the pivotal role of engineers in supporting the academic and administrative infrastructure. He emphasized that their competence and skills directly contribute to achieving the institutional goals of the university, particularly in construction and technological development.
In his remarks, Professor Dr. Diaa Jassim commended the valuable contributions of the engineers in the college, highlighting their spirit of innovation and dedication. He emphasized that these professionals constitute a fundamental pillar in advancing the academic institution.
The celebration concluded with the honoring of a distinguished group of engineers at the University of Baghdad, who were awarded certificates of appreciation in recognition of their outstanding professional efforts. This gesture reaffirmed the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of recognition and motivation among its members.
This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17, which advocates for partnerships to achieve global objectives.
