The University of Baghdad Council convened its periodic session under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, during which a series of important directives were issued to enhance campus safety and ensure the smooth progress of academic activities.
During the session, the university president emphasized the necessity for all deans to remove structures built with sandwich panel material and refrain from using them for any purpose, in accordance with recommendations from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He stressed the importance of presenting a clear plan for removal or remediation and notifying the university of the actions taken as soon as possible.
Additionally, the university president instructed college deans to oversee the final examinations for undergraduate students for the second semester of the 2024–2025 academic year, ensuring their orderly execution in accordance with approved ministerial regulations.
At the conclusion of the session, the council proceeded with discussions on agenda items, which covered academic and administrative matters aimed at improving university performance and enhancing education quality.
This initiative contributes to the achievement of two Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 4 – Quality Education and Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities.
