Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad welcomed a high-ranking government delegation from the Prime Minister’s Office, led by Dr. Ali Razouqi, Deputy Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, accompanied by Professor Dr. Hamed Khalaf Ahmed, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Executive Director of the Higher Committee for the Development of Education in Iraq. The delegation was received by the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, along with the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Wadoud Taher Mohammed.

The delegation reviewed the progress of the specialized committees responsible for interviewing students applying for academic scholarships, hosted by the college as part of its commitment to supporting educational advancement and fostering academic talent in Iraq.

During his interaction with the students, Dr. Ali Razouqi emphasized the significance of seizing this educational opportunity, urging them to strive for excellence and elevate Iraq’s standing in international academic circles. The government delegation commended the college’s efforts in organizing and managing these interviews, highlighting their role in supplying educational institutions with outstanding academic professionals.

This visit is part of ongoing governmental efforts to support higher education, enhance scholarship programs, and streamline their procedures to align with students’ aspirations and the nation’s vision for cultivating a distinguished scientific generation.

Additionally, the visit contributes to the realization of two Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 4 – Quality Education and Goal 17 – Partnership for the Goals.
