The Scouts and Guides of Baghdad University participated in the Central Scout Camp, held in Mosul Province from April 16 to April 24, 2025, with the involvement of more than 40 universities from both public and private institutions across Iraq.

This activity aligns with the annual ministerial agenda and is part of the Prime Minister’s initiative, “No to Extremism, Yes to Peaceful Coexistence,” which aims to foster a spirit of citizenship and collaboration among Iraqi university students.

Baghdad University distinguished itself in this national event, securing first place at the guides’ level (female students) and second place at the scouts’ level (male students), reflecting the high level of commitment and proficiency demonstrated by its students and supervisors.

In a special statement, Dr. Ali Sadiq, Director of the Student Activities Department, emphasized that Baghdad University’s achievements extended beyond scouting, encompassing sports, arts, and cultural fields. He praised the continuous support of the university administration and the efforts of students and supervisors in achieving these successes.

This activity contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 17, which advocates for partnerships to achieve global objectives.
