The Baghdad University team began its journey in the Iraqi Universities Beach Volleyball Championship with a well-deserved victory over the Al-Qadisiyah University team, winning (2-1) in an exciting match that brought the two teams together at the tournament’s opening. This year, the championship is being held in Al-Anbar Governorate – Tourist City, graciously hosted by Al-Anbar University in collaboration with Al-Ma’arif University.

The match witnessed intense competition between the teams, with both delivering outstanding performances that reflected their serious preparations and high sportsmanship. The Baghdad University team managed to secure the win after three thrilling rounds, amid enthusiastic support from university students and tournament participants.

This championship is part of the sports activities organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, aiming to enhance positive competition and foster communication among Iraqi university students, in addition to promoting university sports and developing students’ physical skills.

The Baghdad University team is preparing to continue its campaign in the championship, hoping to achieve positive results in upcoming matches and compete for the title.

This event contributes to two sustainable development goals: the third goal, which advocates for ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all ages through responsive programs that improve public health and sports, and the seventeenth goal, which emphasizes partnerships to achieve sustainable objectives.
