The University of Baghdad welcomed Mr. Rami Awad, the Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa at the British QS Institution, in the presence of the University President, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, the Assistant President for Academic Affairs, Prof.Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, and the Director of the Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Department, Prof.Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan.

During the meeting, the attendees commended the university’s recent outstanding scientific research, which has contributed to strengthening its academic standing on an international level. Discussions also covered potential collaboration with QS through strategic partnerships aimed at improving the university’s global ranking.

Mr. Rami Awad provided a series of recommendations and insights on mechanisms to enhance the visibility of the University of Baghdad’s research within global academic ranking institutions. He also discussed strategies for improving research quality to align with international standards.

This visit is part of the University of Baghdad’s ongoing efforts to expand its global presence and elevate the quality of its research, supporting its ambition to achieve higher positions in international university rankings.

Furthermore, this initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 17, which emphasizes partnerships for achieving development objectives, as it includes academic activities that contribute to advancing the university’s sustainable development strategy.
