The University of Baghdad Museum held the tenth meeting of the liaison members, in the presence of the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Amir Faisal Abdul Amir, and the Director of the Museum, Dr. Haider Hamid Rashid, along with liaison members from various colleges and centers affiliated to the university.

The meeting began with a speech by Dr. Amir Faisal, where he stressed the importance of the museum’s role in preserving the historical memory of the university and enhancing cultural awareness among students and affiliates, followed by the speech of the director of the museum, in which he reviewed the achievements made during the past period and the importance of the role of liaison members in supporting the museum’s goals.

The agenda included a discussion of the recommendations of the previous meeting, in addition to highlighting the most prominent obstacles faced by the members of the liaison, with the aim of finding solutions that contribute to improving the performance of their work, as well as the suggestions submitted by the members to develop their work mechanism and enhance their role in documenting and preserving the history of the university.

At the end of the meeting, the attendees discussed the report submitted to the President of the University of Baghdad on the activity of the liaison members and agreed on a set of recommendations that will improve the work of the museum and support its efforts in preserving the academic and historical heritage of the University of Baghdad. The museum is an essential cultural institution in preserving heritage in specific places to ensure the continuity of the messages contained in this heritage and deliver them to current and future generations, as it is a key partner in achieving one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth and seventeenth goals which call for quality education as well as partnership in order to achieve goals.
