The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the College of Languages, University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Italian Language Department, organized a training workshop titled “Employment and Entrepreneurship.” The workshop was led by Dr. Qassem Mohammad Azzal and attended by a number of faculty members and students from the Italian Language Department.

The objective of the workshop was to equip students with the essential skills for the labor market and to promote an entrepreneurial mindset. The workshop covered strategies for developing entrepreneurial ideas and transforming them into successful projects, while linking students to the job market by enhancing personal and social skills such as leadership, negotiation, teamwork, entrepreneurship training, and fostering creative thinking. It also aimed to encourage students to generate and refine their own ideas.

The workshop concluded with several recommendations, including introducing students and graduates to entrepreneurship, clarifying its benefits and risks, and developing creative thinking skills. Participants were encouraged to think critically and generate new, innovative ideas.

The event also provided training on how to convert ideas into actionable business plans, offering financial and technical support for successful projects, such as funding grants or co-working space access. Additionally, participants were encouraged to build networks with other entrepreneurs and investors, and it was emphasized that continuous follow-up should be provided to participants after completing their qualification through the organization of periodic in-person or virtual meetings.
