The Manuscripts, Documents, and Heritage Unit has been established at the College of Arts, University of Baghdad, under the supervision of Dr. Ghassan Hadi Zghair Al-Jubouri and Assist.Lecturer Ody Amer Hassan.
Manuscripts are a scientific treasure in various fields of knowledge, and their value lies in representing the cultural and intellectual heritage of a nation. They contain arts and artifacts that date back hundreds of years, and preserving them is essential for maintaining the history of thought, language, beliefs, and knowledge.
Among the main tasks and responsibilities of the unit are providing scientific services to researchers and students, as well as introducing a digital repository for archiving manuscripts. Additionally, the unit aims to enhance the website with titles of manuscripts to facilitate access and research.
