The Presidency of the University of Baghdad organized a solidarity stand for the teaching staff and employees, in solidarity and rejection of the aggression to which the Lebanese people are exposed, in the presence of the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Amir Faisal Abdul Amir, the directors of departments in the university presidency and the departmental affiliates.
The President of the University of Baghdad stated that the Council of the University, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, prepared a plan to send in-kind and medical aid, to contribute to alleviating the suffering of the brotherly Lebanese people.
The Assistant President of the University of Baghdad, Dr. Amir Faisal Abdul Amir, pointed out that these stands express a clear message that the Lebanese people are not alone and that the Iraqi people of all sects stand by the Lebanese people in their plight.
The vigil included raising the Lebanese and Palestinian flags and raising slogans expressing the solidarity of the Iraqi people with the two brotherly peoples, and chanting slogans calling for the support of the two peoples to overcome their ordeal, the vigils also included minutes of silence, on the souls of the martyrs of the brutal attack.
