The Center for Educational and Psychological Research, in collaboration with the Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights, organized a specialized workshop titled “Psychological Rehabilitation and nd Aftercare for prisoners,” under the supervision of the Director of Center, Prof.Dr. Fadel Al-Saadi.
The workshop addressed the importance of psychological rehabilitation as a fundamental component of criminal justice and mental health. It aimed to assist prisoners in recovering from negative experiences, enhancing their psychological and social capabilities. The sessions included the use of educational and training programs to improve their skills and successfully reintegrate them into society after release.
The course also discussed the support available to prisoners after their release, such as psychological and vocational counseling, providing job and housing opportunities, and offering necessary social support. These steps aim to prevent reoffending and enhance the personal and social stability of formerly incarcerated individuals.
This course represents an important part of modern criminal justice strategies that seek to achieve comprehensive and sustainable rehabilitation for prisoners.
