The College of Pharmacy organized a workshop entitled “Nanotechnology in Hair Treatment”, delivered by the lecturer in the Pharmaceutics Branch, Assistant Lecturer Noor Muhammad Dawood.
The workshop aimed to learn about the types of nanotechnology and nanocomposites that are used in the treatment of hair problems. The workshop included several topics, including identifying diseases that affect hair and types of hair care products, while identifying the benefits of nanocomposites in its treatment, comparing them with traditional treatments and the different types of nanocomposites used in this field.
The workshop concluded by examining the traditional testing methods available to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of cosmetic compounds, including those in the nanoscale, when evaluating hair formulations and that nanocomposites contribute more broadly and better to the treatment of hair problems with fewer side effects.
