A delegation from the College of Education for Women at the University of Baghdad, led by the Dean of the College, Assist.Prof.Dr. Athmar Shaker Majid Al-Shatari, participated in a scientific workshop titled “The Role of the University in Strengthening the Principles of the Hussaini Revival and Its Values Among Students.” This workshop took place in Karbala – the holy shrine Al-Hussain as part of the 18th International Festival of the Spring of the Shahada. The event, themed “Imam Hussain (peace be upon him): The Inheritor of the Prophets and the Descendant of the Followers,” aimed to enhance scientific communication between the institutions of the Hussaini Shrine and public universities.
The workshop’s objectives included engaging female leaders from Iraqi universities, introducing them to the scientific conference associated with the International Festival of the Spring of the Shahada, and emphasizing the importance of academic participation in the festival. It also highlighted the Hussaini Shrine’s commitment to the Hussaini Revival and the need for academic collaboration to promote the values of Karbala among students.
This participation underscores the College of Education for Women’s distinguished academic reputation and readiness in preparation for the 18th edition of the International Festival of the Spring of the Shahada, scheduled for February 2025. The festival will feature various topics, including “The Personality of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) in the Ziyarat Warith,” the Hussaini Revival, its doctrinal dimensions, and its historical implications as discussed in the Ziyarat Warith.
