The department of Quranic sciences at the college of education for women held its 11th scientific conference for Quranic sciences entitled “The Islamic approach in the face of sedition and tribulations between the inevitability of reality and aspirations” under the slogan: “By the Islamic approach, we face challenges and crises” via Zoom platform. The aim of the conference is to demonstrate the role of Islamic approach when facing crises, confronting adversity, as well as instilling the concepts of sedition and distress in the Arab and Islamic heritage, reminding the Muslim of the need to resort permanently to Allah in the time of strife and to emphasize that the Islamic approach is a comprehensive holy approach that should be followed in all aspects of life, which is the best way to address educational, social and economic problems.

The conference included three scientific sessions attended by researchers and jurists from all Arab countries (Brunei, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Sudan, Jordan and Algeria) along with scholars from the universities of Baghdad, Wasit, Nineveh, Fallujah and Diyala. The most important recommendations made by researchers can be summarized as follows:  the need to develop a jurisprudence for crises so as to get rid of sedition in advance, how to deal with such cases, study this phenomenon positively based on Islamic jurisprudence, in addition to encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation in dealing with sedition and spreading positivity among people through religious institutions towards preventing contradictions and conflicts via adopting interim and non-interim plans to contribute to the renewal of Islamic discourse and activating peaceful coexistence in the country.
