The College of Media at the University of Baghdad hosted the conference launching the Postgraduate Diploma Program in Migration Management and Sustainable Solutions. The event was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Migration and Displacement and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with broad official and academic participation.

The Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faeq Jabro, was welcomed by Professor Dr. Baha Ibrahim Ensaf, President of the University of Baghdad, and Professor Dr. Ammar Taher Mohammed, Dean of the College of Media. Both extended their greetings to the ministerial delegation and attending guests, affirming that the college’s hosting of this event reflects its support for national programs aimed at developing sustainable scientific solutions to migration and displacement issues in Iraq.

In his address, the university president emphasized that the University of Baghdad represents a pioneering academic environment in supporting government projects with humanitarian and developmental dimensions. He noted that the collaboration between the two ministries serves as a solid model of institutional synergy within the state.

For his part, the Dean of the College of Media stated that the conference embodies the college’s vision of strengthening academic partnerships with state institutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and to prepare specialized personnel capable of addressing migration and displacement challenges through modern scientific and professional approaches.

This initiative contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4, which promotes quality education, as well as Goal 17, which emphasizes partnerships for the goals.
