In a new academic achievement that underscores the prominent international presence of the University of Baghdad, Assistant Professor Dr. Rawaa Ahmed Faris from the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies has been selected as a member of the Judges Panel for the QS Reimagine Education Awards 2025—one of the most prestigious global accolades in the field of higher education.

This selection reaffirms the University of Baghdad’s distinguished academic standing and leadership. The opportunity is granted to a select group of experts, academics, and educational leaders worldwide through the British QS organization in partnership with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with the aim of highlighting innovation and excellence in educational development.

Dr. Rawaa’s participation represents the culmination of her outstanding scientific and research efforts and serves as an international endorsement of the university’s academic caliber. It also presents a strategic opportunity to foster the exchange of expertise with global universities and institutions, and to gain insights into the latest practices in sustainability, scientific research, and employability—further advancing the University of Baghdad’s journey toward leadership and innovation.

This participation contributes to two Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 4, which advocates for quality education, and Goal 17, which promotes partnerships to achieve the goals.
