The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop titled ” The Discourse of Love and its Dissemination Among Members of the Muslim Community,” featuring the participation of Prof.Dr. Walid Abdul Jabbar and Dr. Ayman Sarim, who discussed the importance of love in Islam and its impact on building a cohesive society characterized by peace.
The workshop aimed to promote the culture of love by emphasizing its significance in Islam, highlighting its importance in the relationships among community members, and fostering values of tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and the rejection of all forms of violence and hatred.
This event comes in response to the pressing need to strengthen the values of love and peace within Islamic societies, as well as to confront the challenges threatening their unity and cohesion. It is considered an important step toward achieving these goals by raising awareness about the importance of love and providing the necessary tools to translate it into tangible reality.
The workshop concluded with a recommendation to spread the culture of love and tolerance within the Muslim community.
