The College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad has signed a cooperation agreement with Al-Iraq University College,Basra, marking a significant step in enhancing academic collaboration between the two institutions.
The agreement, which aims to strengthen ties and facilitate knowledge exchange, was signed by Prof.Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majid, Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, and Prof.Dr. Jasim Mohammed Salman, Dean of Al-Iraq University College, Basra. The signing ceremony was attended by several academic and administrative leaders, including Assist.Prof.Dr. Zina Ali Abdul Redha, Head of the Department of Energy Engineering at the University of Baghdad.
The agreement focuses on several key areas, including curriculum development, joint research initiatives, and shared use of laboratories and workshops. Additionally, the collaboration will encompass organizing scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops, as well as promoting the exchange of academic resources between the two institutions. The agreement also outlines plans for joint sports and cultural activities.
This collaboration reflects the commitment of both institutions to advance education and research, aligning with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to foster partnerships between public and private universities in Iraq.
