Maytham Essam Ali, a student in the third stage at Al-Kindi College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, participated in the Central University Badminton Championship for students.
During the tournament, Maytham was able to impose a remarkable superiority in his first and second matches. They defeated their opponents from the College of Science in the opening match with two clean sheets. He continued his impression with a similar victory over his counterpart from the College of Veterinary Medicine in the second match. Maytham Essam thus established himself as one of the most promising players in the tournament.
This participation came as part of Al Kindi Medical College’s ongoing efforts to enhance the participation of its students in sports activities as well as academic excellence. It is noteworthy that this year’s championship witnessed exceptional competition with the participation of a large number of colleges, as the organizational efforts of the Sports Committee at the University of Baghdad culminated in the successful completion of the event, amid great interaction from the attendees.
