The Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop entitled (Home for the Elderly between the Origin and its Non-Existence) under the supervision of the Dean of the Institute, the Chartered Accountant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajeel Al-Mamouri. The workshop was handled by Assistant Professor Dr. Hanan Abdullah Mohsen, a lecturer at the Institute, and Mr. Raad Hassan Salman from Dar Sayed Al-Awsiyaa for the elderly lectured in the workshop, in the presence of a number of lecturers and graduate students at the Institute.

The workshop aimed to pay attention to the elderly and raise awareness of the Iraqi culture in containing parents and show the existence of justification motives for placing the mother or father in the elderly home or not and focus on showing material and moral support, especially from educational institutions.

These activities are classified as Environment and Sustainability Goals to achieve Goal 3 to ensure that everyone has access to healthy lives and well-being at all ages.
