The Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad, under the supervision of Assist.Prof.Dr. Ali Mohammed Thjeel Al-Mamouri, a certified public accountant and Dean of the Institute, organized a workshop titled “The Costs of Building Sustainability Resources According to the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Standard.”
The event was led by Prof.Dr. Thaer Sabri Mahmoud, a faculty member at the institute, and featured a lecture by Dr. Imad Jalil Mahdi from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research – Scientific Research Authority, Center for Environmental, Water, and Renewable Energy Research. The event was attended by several faculty members and postgraduate students.
The activity covered an introduction to the LEED system for leadership in energy and environmental design, explaining the concept of sustainable buildings and their ability to enhance energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact through effective external insulation.
