The regular meeting of the Committee of Deans of Dental Colleges in Iraq was held for the second session of the 2024-2025 academic year at the College of Dentistry, University of Baghdad. The meeting was chaired by Prof.Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Al-Hashimi, Head of the Committee of Deans of Dental Colleges in Iraq and Dean of the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad, the country’s leading institution in dental education.

The meeting aimed to conduct an in-depth discussion on the mechanism of the ministerial assessment exam in both public and private dental colleges, covering clinical practical and theoretical aspects. It emphasized the necessity of implementing the directives of the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority to ensure the success of the examination process. This, in turn, contributes to preparing highly qualified and competent dentists who can keep pace with scientific advancements in the field of dentistry and provide the best healthcare services to the community.

The agenda included discussions on several key topics aimed at enhancing academic excellence and improving the quality of education and scientific research. During the meeting, Prof.Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Al-Hashimi highlighted the importance of continuous interaction between dental colleges and the exchange of academic and research expertise. He stressed the need to strengthen collaboration among educational institutions to uphold the highest standards of quality in medical education.

The meeting concluded with a series of recommendations focused on enhancing coordination among colleges and working towards future aspirations for the development of higher education in the field of dentistry.
