The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad participated in the First International Conference of Qom Islamic University, hosted by the Public University of Qom. The event was attended by Prof.Dr. Ne’ma Dahesh Farhan, Dean of the College and Chairman of the Committee of Deans of Islamic Sciences Colleges in Iraq, along with a distinguished group of researchers and scholars from various countries, totaling around 100 participants.
The participation aimed to strengthen scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi and Iranian institutions and to facilitate the exchange of expertise in the field of Islamic sciences and studies. Additionally, it sought to highlight the research achievements of the University of Baghdad, which has published 29,000 studies in global scientific databases.
During the conference, Dr. Farhan delivered a speech in which he presented an overview of the identity of the college, its various departments, and the academic programs it offers. He also emphasized the importance of scientific research at the University of Baghdad, stating that it remains a top priority within the university’s strategic plans.
