The President of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, received the athletes of the University of Baghdad’s team who secured top positions in the university sports championships. The event was attended by the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ameer Faisal Abdul Ameer, the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Prof.Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, and the Director of the Student Activities Department, Dr. Ali Sadiq Dhiab.
The President praised the male and female athletes for their outstanding achievements through their participation in the Iraqi University Championship, where they earned first place in various events such as five-a-side football, volleyball, swimming, athletics, badminton, scouting, and drawing, as well as second place in table tennis and chess.
On the other hand, the coaches and players expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the University of Baghdad’s administration for overcoming all obstacles during their participation in the sports championships. Medals and trophies were presented to the coaches and athletes in recognition of their efforts in elevating the university’s name in sports arenas.
Additionally, the Student Activities Department at the University of Baghdad pledged to continue striving for further success and securing first-place positions in future championships, with the aim of raising the university’s name even higher.
