The Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, received his counterpart, the Dean of the College of Engineering at Al-Naji National University, Prof. Dr. Hussein Juma Abbas.
The two sides discussed ways to improve the academic and research reality, in addition to discussing various programs and activities to unify the curricula between the two colleges.
The meeting witnessed the signing of the agreement and joint cooperation. This agreement comes within the framework of the directives of the Ministry of Education and Research aimed at activating scientific twinning and improving the quality of higher education in Iraq.
The agreement included an integrated program for scientific cooperation between the departments of computer engineering and petroleum engineering at the two universities to enhance academic and cultural cooperation, building solid bridges of communication, exchanging administrative and scientific experiences between teaching and administrative staff, as well as activating cultural and scientific student activities and organizing joint programs that include workshops, seminars and scientific conferences to support innovation and enhance intellectual cross-fertilization.
